First, the standard size of extruded polystyrene (XPS) board is 1200*600 mm, with a diagonal error of less than 2 mm. When cutting, a hot wire cutter or utility knife can be used, but note that the allowable dimensional deviation is ±1.5 mm.

Next is the step of wrapping the mesh fabric. Mesh fabric needs to be pre-attached to the XPS board at door and window openings and on both sides of expansion joints. Typically, the total width is about 200 mm, and the width of the wrapped portion is 80 mm. The specific operation is as follows: First, cut the mesh fabric to a length of 180 mm plus the thickness of the XPS board. Then, apply a strip of special adhesive 80 mm long and 2 mm wide to the wrapped area, press the 80 mm long mesh fabric into it, and reserve the remaining portion.

Next is applying the special adhesive. Apply the prepared special adhesive to the back of the XPS board, pressing it down to a thickness of about 3 mm. To ensure a strong bond, a strip or dot method can be used.

In the strip bonding method, a notched trowel is used to evenly apply a special adhesive horizontally onto the extruded polystyrene board. Each strip is 10 mm wide, 10 mm thick, and 50 mm apart.
